Ayaz Ali - Assignment 29
Assignment 29
- So my idea is the metal detectors that should be implemented into schools. What is the opportunity here for people and possible customers? We see nowadays how dangerous schools have became and how many people try to cause harm within schools. Children and workers in schools should not have to feel worried or fear for their lives when going to school. They should be looking forward to and feel excited when they attend school, and they really are not getting treated fairly in today's world. The government has its policies and we see how gun control is still a very controversial topic, but how long are we going to wait? Until yet another school gets shot up? Until another fight breaks out and kid end up in the hospital? We need to do something now. This metal detector is great for schools and can really make the job for security guards much easier. This idea can be implemented and has the potential to stick around for a long time. I think in many cases people come up with ideas and they last for a few years and die out, but this product has long term potential in my opinion. I know what it feels like to be scared in school and how parents can be so worried because the public system is so free about things and people can buy and bring in dangerous items with ease. We have to do something as a community and help make change, and I think this will be perfect for it.
- How does innovation play a role? Well the idea itself isn't that complicated, but there are tons of factors that can play along. I think one big concept of the creative process is how realistic this idea will be. Will it really help in schools and would schools be interested in bringing the product in? I think as innovators we have to find the best way to make this product not only be successful, but also how we can make it super efficient. The good thing is that only one of the items needs to be placed in schools, meaning one per school, which helps make schools realize it will not be a huge hassle to implement the idea. A fair price for the product is probably around $450, but it will be high quality and will detect everything. I think it will be great for schools. Innovation makes us creators think for solutions with what we are handed, and in this case we have a wide field to work with, and we see this idea as a huge success possibly. The potential for success is through the roof and I think many people will understand the idea and see that there really are no cons in it.
- I think the venture concept is not too difficult to think of in this case. This product is not that expensive, and it can solve so many potential issues. For one, schools will be able to know what comes in and out of campuses and can be ready when something not wanted is entering or leaving. Also, the big issue with public safety was that kids and workers were not interested in getting their bags checked for personal privacy, which is completely understandable. This product avoids that at all causes and just looks for unwanted items. If the leaders in our society will not do anything to help make change, we must do it. This product is not super expensive, it will be very convenient, and what is a negative feature of it? I cannot think of one either. I love the idea and I am excited to see where it can lead in the future, and how great it really will be. We are here to persuade people how much of a change this product can make and just how successful it can be.
For the most part, the comments on my first venture concept were pretty positive, as everyone enjoyed the post and the amount of detail in the most. Maybe even getting in even more detail wherever possible would make the venture concept better. I think for the most part I provided most details necessary
Great picture selection on this and I agree with this assignment and the assignment the first time you did it. I think as long as you really detail the decision makers and your sales strategy for those decision maker, this could be a viable concept that would make a large impact in the world.
