Ayaz Ali - Assignment 30

Assignment 30  This class was honestly very enjoyable for me. The fact that there were no exams made me actually enjoy the assignments. For the most part, I enjoyed everything in the class, even the negative feedback because it made me write better posts and improve many of my pitches. It was annoying at times to see negative feedback, but it was for my own good and I really ended up appreciating it. This class really gave me a great idea as to how many different aspects it really takes to produce a product and also work with other people in groups. It really is so deep and connections can go a very long way, and I loved that I was shown how to approach many different entrepreneur aspects. I really enjoyed specifically on the pitches as it was harder than I really thought it would be. I became good at it and pretty comfortable doing it thanks to this class.  I definitely see myself as an entrepreneur now because this class combined with a few others really opened my m...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 29

Assignment 29 So my idea is the metal detectors that should be implemented into schools. What is the opportunity here for people and possible customers? We see nowadays how dangerous schools have became and how many people try to cause harm within schools. Children and workers in schools should not have to feel worried or fear for their lives when going to school. They should be looking forward to and feel excited when they attend school, and they really are not getting treated fairly in today's world. The government has its policies and we see how gun control is still a very controversial topic, but how long are we going to wait? Until yet another school gets shot up? Until another fight breaks out and kid end up in the hospital? We need to do something now. This metal detector is great for schools and can really make the job for security guards much easier. This idea can be implemented and has the potential to stick around for a long time. I think in many cases people come u...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 27

Assignment 27 Steve Jobs I think I chose to do Steve Jobs, because he has always been a person of interest for me. Apple has been such a successful company and has taken over the world, and who else would I love to read about than the creator himself. I think the most surprising thing I read about was Jobs' vision. Usually we hear about creative or someone's obsession for details. No. Not Steve Jobs, in the biography it explains how Jobs' greatest gift was his reality distortion field. This means that once Jobs' saw the opportunity for a successful product or idea, he would "bend reality to his will until it came true." His willingness in this aspect spread through his team as people would work relentlessly to make sure they put their most into everything they were doing.  The biggest thing I admire about Jobs' is his willingness and willpower to succeed. He knew what he wanted and what goals he had planned and he worked countless hours to make...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 28

Assignment 28 I think when thinking of an exit strategy it all depends on how successful the company is going to be or how successful you think it is going to be. I think for me, and assuming the idea is successful, I would look to sell the product within 5 years. I do not think the product will have as much as value as time goes by, and this product was not really meant to be a huge profitable source. I would be happy making a positive impact on society and leaving with a good profit. It is important to know your goals short term and long term, and I think I have a great idea in that aspect. I chose this exit strategy because I think it makes the most sense honestly. I think from the sale of the product, I would look to invest into other opportunities and try to grow my profit from those. It will be great to see the product remain its efficiency even after the sale, and I hope its impact remains positive throughout.

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 26

Assignment 26 Failure happens. I think everyone reacts to it differently, but everyone fails. It could be something as small as losing a pickup basketball or as big as not getting the house you so desperately wanted. The point is that it happens. This summer has been pretty crazy, and there are some classes that I just am struggling in. I think a big failure that hit me hard was getting a 60 on my first programming exam this semester. The class only has 3 exams and are worth a lot, so the first one got to me. I studied so hard and I thought I did way better than a 60. It was pretty demoralizing, and I was very stressed and did not know what I wanted to do. I think I just sat back and thought about it and told myself that it was going to be okay. I really wanted to do well in the class and I knew that I couldn't do anything but continue to work hard. It taught me to not let one downfall hurt me or mess with me mentally. You have to go through things like this at times, and h...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 25

Existing Market Step 1: I think the next step in terms of products and services is to get the materials needed together, and see just how popular our product can become. We will need to see how many potential customers there are and all the specifics as to which schools in which areas would be interested in purchasing. Step 2 1) In the first interview, former professor, Mr. Jones, I explained to him the idea and what he thinks I should do next. He explained how we should be planning for failure just in case. he explained to me how to have a backup plan and things like that in case the idea does not go as we want it to. Mr. Jones made a valid point, and it made me contemplate wether my ideas were going to be successful and if I am thinking way too greatly of the product. He did not think the customers should really have more demands than this.  2) The next interview, was a former teacher of mine, Ms. Laurel, and she explained how she really enjoyed my idea, but does not know...
