Ayaz Ali - Assignment 15

Assignment 15 My segment was on teachers when interviewing based on my topic, and now I found three more to interview for this week. 1) The first teacher I went to was my former high school teacher, Mrs. Kennedy, and she is currently still a teacher. So I asked her about when she chooses a product what she looks for the most. How much does price matter, and how much does she value quality. She explained how it all depends. If she was buying a small purchase such as which brand toothpaste she wanted, she would probably prefer to go with the cheaper one. However, lets say she was buying a car, she would of course look into many more details, and take price and overall quality into account. She explained how also looking into a big purchase how she would need to consult with her husband beforehand. Mrs. Kennedy explained how she liked to buy products in a store because she does not have good experiences and explained how she would rather just see a product and get a good in-per...

Assignment 14 - Tenacity & Paying It Forward 1. The behaviors that I developed in this course that really made a big impact on me was definitely spending my time better. Time management is key in college. It was tough for me to learn the skill of time management and this class really helped me improve on it. Since we have assignments due every Friday, I often waited until Friday in the beginning, but now that the semester has picked up, I try to finish work in whatever classes I have as soon as possible so I do not have to worry about it later. This helps you not get flustered and also helps you focus your time on more important things like studying for exams. 2. I think a big moment for me when I felt like giving up was studying for my final exams last summer. I had taken four classes during summer B, which was a large load in such a small amount of time, and towards the end of the semester, I was drained. I did not want to look at anything school related and just wanted ...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 13

Reading Reflection 1) Elon Musk I think the thing that surprised me the most about Elon Musk was how difficult his life situation was in his early years. Not being in a good relationship with his parents must have been rough, and of course the divorce did not help him. He was also bullied in school so he was very isolated in his early years. It was crazy to read about how a person with such a rough young life became the man he is today. The thing I admired the most about Musk was his determination and his views on many things. Seeing how he handled his stress was crazy, as he was the founder and creator of so many different ideas and projects and found the fun in all of them. His ability to memorize two entire encyclopedias was amazing, and in his early years he read almost sixty books per month. I love his perception on things and he never really focuses on the cons of ideas, but rather the pros. The thing I least admired was that he never really tried to fix his relationsh...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 12

Assignment 12 - Sketching out the Beginning of the Buyer Behavior Process 1) Segment: Teachers 2)  1st Interview: I decided to interview my former teacher, Mr. Jones. Mr. Jones was also on security duty before becoming a full-time teacher, and he gave me some very valuable information in my interview. In my interview, I asked him general questions about the idea, and what he thought about it. He said he liked the idea a lot and thinks it will help with issues in school about safety. He explained how this would really avoid any dangerous events from occurring in school areas and would be helpful for everyone. There really is not a time a dangerous event can happen in school, they mostly just come out of nowhere. It would be more helpful in situations where there are lots of kids rallied together in one area and it is hard to keep track of everyone, but knowing that most likely nobody has a dangerous weapon on them is nice. Mr. Jones explains how he would definitely like to do mor...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 11

Assignment 11 - Piecing It All Together You: My name is Ayaz Ali and I am currently a sophomore, computer science major. I think I work really well in planning, marketing, and establishing ideas. In high school I was a part of the entrepreneurship club, DECA, for three years. I learned many entrepreneurship ideas and worked on many projects and I really fell in love with being an entrepreneur. My goal for this idea would definitely be to start it up as soon as I can. I believe this idea will help a lot with many of our safety issues in school and it should be implemented soon. I believe it will help me because I know something is being done about safety issues, and I would hope that many people can get behind the idea as well. What are you offering to your customers? I am providing customers a sense of feeling safe and comfortable in their school environments. Customers of this product can ensure safety in schools as well as show their workers and students that they are trying to...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 9A

Assignment 9A - Testing the Hypothesis Part 2 Person 1: In this interview I decided to conduct research from one of my high school friends Josh, who was a part of SGA. Now SGA matters in this scenario because almost all of theSGA kids did not each lunch in the cafeteria. The cafeteria is one of the most unsafe environments when it comes to possible danger. He explained to me how he never really felt scared or anything because he was always in a different, relatively isolated location during lunch. He said he feels like there are other possible dangers outside the school, but for the most felt safe in the school. Josh explained how he was honestly not that intrigued about my idea. He explained how if of course something happened in the school or he witnessed an unfortunate event, then his mind would obviously be changed. Person 2: In this interview, I contacted one of my former teachers, Mr. Foles, who actually taught classes in the portables in our former high school. Mr. Foles exp...

Ayaz Ali - Assignment 8A

Assignment 8A - Solving The Problem School shootings, fights, and acts of violence have became far too common. What can be done? I believe metal detectors are almost needed in all schools now. It can help out security without having to do a detailed check on all students. This will allow any guns, knives, or other items to be found before entering the premises of the school. Not only this, but I believe more cameras should be installed around school campuses and there should also be more security guards working. That is a simple add, but definitely the opportunity of a metal detecting machine is needed in schools. It just makes sense and also makes it easy to find any unwanted items on students or other people around schools. I would explain these things to buyers and it will almost likely be added. I hope something gets done soon and a product like this can fix school safety issues in a very large way.
