Assignment 3A - Entrepreneurship Story
- I was exposed to entrepreneurship at a early age. As a kid I was very interested in entrepreneurship and how these ordinary people would view things and make a concept out of them. In high school I was a part of the entrepreneur club, DECA, for three years and participated in many events for the club. I have created 11-page and two 30-page manuals based off entrepreneurship ideas and presented the project in front of judges. In my junior year, my 30-page manual actually made it to nationals, and ever since then I have been in love with the idea of entrepreneurship. It was always a goal of mine to create a product based off entrepreneur ideas, and I can say ever since high school I have created many different products and it has been a blast in doing so.
- I chose this class because I actually needed to for my Innovation Academy course this semester. It was between this course and another engineering course, but it was an easy decision for me to choose this class. I would like to continue to look into Entrepreneurship ideas as well learn more and more whenever possible. A class like this will really open my mind up to new ideas and will continue in helping me grow my thought process from an entrepreneur point of view.

ReplyDeleteI find it fascinating that you have been working with entrepreneurship for so long. I thing that it would have been great to actually read about one of your projects. Its super cool to hear that you made it to a national level of competition with one of your ideas too. I was also wondering what you meant by manual, was it something like a business plan?
Hi Ayaz. Your interest in entrepreneurship from an early age is really telling of where your interests are. You knew what you wanted and went after it. By joining DECA, you had the opportunity to polish and showcase your entrepreneurial skills. Your guide making it to nationals demonstrates how much your have learned along the way. I agree that a class like ENT 3003 will help you to continue growing in your journey. One suggestion I do have is to consider entering the Big Idea Competition. With your experience writing entrepreneurial manuals and interest in creating a product, it would be good for you.
